What to throw away and what to keep: organizing your community records and family keepsakes
Join us for a FREE, in-person workshop on preserving the cultural and historical records of your community, organizations, and families. Because, let’s be honest, we can’t keep everything! This session will prepare you to evaluate your collections and determine what to preserve. This interactive session queries participants about saving or discarding materials, considering who will use the collection, and exploring options for the things you cannot keep. We present strategies and exercises to help you take stock of your papers, photos, digital files, books, and other historical materials and build a collection that you can manage.
We have exciting door prizes! Coffee and light refreshments will be provided. And if you have a completed history project or work in progress, please reserve space to display your project at info@easthub.org
