Bonnie Towne is a philanthropist and community activist in the Greater Seattle/Eastside area. In more than 35 years of fundraising, Bonnie has served on over 30 nonprofit boards, chaired numerous events, and helped raise over $100 million and counting for nonprofits around the Puget Sound region. Her philanthropic work has even extended internationally when she helped the Queen of Bhutan raise $7 million to establish a nationally treasured textile museum.
Presently she is Chair of the Board at the 5th Avenue Theatre and serves on the boards of Seattle Police Foundation and Seattle Humane. Her prior work includes board service to organizations such as the University of Oregon Foundation, Pacific Northwest Ballet, KCTS Public Media and Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center.
When not serving the nonprofit community, Bonnie spends her free time with her husband, their two adult children, granddaughter and two dogs.
