Founding CEO Ray Cullom, in partnership with a group of dedicated community members and a passionate and enthusiastic small professional staff, established EastHUB in 2020 to seize an opportunity. He recognized both the dire need for public and cultural gathering spaces on Seattle’s eastside, and the conditions created by the steady influx of a diverse and energetic new population to the rapidly developing area. With crucial early investment from Microsoft and the backing of key members of the Eastside community, Ray founded EastHUB as a cultural and community service organization dedicated to creating an accessible infrastructure of cultural and community gathering spaces, and to building an organization guided by principles of anti-racism and representation of our incredibly diverse Eastside throughout all levels of the organization.
