Shared Future

EastHUB knows that our arts and culture community can go further together than we can apart. A shared future means building shared spaces for arts and culture performance and gathering, developing shared services to help organizations work more efficiently, and creating shared resources that build connections and further our collective knowledge about ourselves.

Our work towards a shared future will continually evolve to ensure we meet the needs of the arts and culture community. As we learn more from the community, we will integrate new knowledge, take steps to grow or change, and assess the implications for our mission and vision for the Eastside. This continual cycle and feedback loop will help ensure we are continually working towards inclusive shared priorities.

Strategic Pillars

Shared Spaces

EastHUB’s goal is to ensure that the Eastside has a comprehensive menu of shared spaces for various groups and organizations to use. Shared spaces will allow organizations to operate with less in-house infrastructure, reduced cost burdens, and more time and equitable spaces to create the experiences our community wants and needs. As we grow, EastHUB will partner with developers, municipal and regional governments, arts organizations, culture groups, and the Eastside’s diverse residents to imagine, design and reshape new and existing spaces.

This work begins with The Playhouse at Cloudvue, a multi-use event space and cross-cultural center, allowing arts and culture groups to host events in a space designed to be flexible and efficient, helping to reduce costs for a large variety of groups and organizations.

Shared Services

These services will begin with The Playhouse at Cloudvue, where groups and organizations can hold their own events and gatherings, utilizing our in-house event management services, production capabilities, and turnkey branding opportunities supported by innovative technical design.

As our space offerings grow and we learn more from our diverse Eastside arts and culture community, EastHUB will add more service offerings to meet the needs and wants in our community. The goal will always be to provide access to these services to Eastside organizations for a fraction of the cost of operating on their own. These services potentially include accounting, design services, marketing and public relations, database management, grant writing, event production, and more.

By expending less of their precious time and resources on administration, operations, upkeep and management of performance spaces they will have more time and resources to pursue their missions and engage their communities.

Shared Resources

The creation of shared spaces and shared services will elevate the work of arts and culture groups by providing venues, event staffing and ticketing and other operational capabilities in the future. Shared resources will help us all understand the arts and culture community on the Eastside and build our own knowledge, connections, and opportunities. We have begun to create these tools and resources that the community can contribute to and utilize for their own organizations.

  • Performer Roster helps organizations get to know who’s out there and connect with artists directly.
  • Eastside Live provides a calendar of events across the Eastside
  • Culture Creates Community series helps create opportunities to learn and discuss topics specific to the arts and culture community
